Introduction:
My group and I went to Gwyn Jones Primary School for our first TIE; mainly because we wanted a target audience aged six to seven year olds.
Main Body The primary school went good it could always go better; since there is always room for improvements . I liked what I had done and personally If I was still in my comfort zone I would have not done what I did. To sit that close to little children with face paint on; looking like a fifty year old the old yvonne would have ran off stage and gave up because I'm used giving to up. I am really self conscious at times it is depending on what I am doing of course. but i love children's theatre because it enables individuals to come out of their comfort zones; especially teenagers, we set ourself with boundaries because of what we see and hear.
Conclusion
I find it hard to get into character; I need to adapt to new challanges much quicker than I do already. Why I don't know so don't ask but then again; it's kinda tricky to figure me out so I wouldn't suggest for you to do that. Some people "say they know me better than I know myself" I laugh or i'll just keep quiet because they don't the type of thoughts I have.
I could have improved on articulation specifically my voice; pronouncing every word should be my next aim and physicality much more so the children could hear every word because on some words I .
Fredrick Bremer Secondary School TIE Evaluation
http://www.bremer.org.uk/
Introduction:
My group and I went to Fredrick Bremer secondary school for our second TIE; mainly because we needed a target audience age fourteen to fifthteen year olds.
Main Body
The secondary school I went to was suprisingly performance wise actually so much better than my primary school one. I know for the primary school one it's because I was too worried about my image and how I would look once I start to tell the story about the Hare& the Hedgehog as the narrator, I found it hard because I actually haven't done anything like that before, the only thing that I have done that's probably close to it is, when I had to play a tree in little Red riding hood in my primary school(Manor Primary) note that was when I was about six. Even with that I was uncomfortable because when we were rehearsing I was laughed at for being the most ugliest tree. I admit I wasn't the best looking tree though, but i'm actually glad that this time I wasn't laughed at for what I was wearing. I liked what I had done and personally If I was still in my comfort zone I would have not done what I did. To sit that close to little children with face paint on; looking like a fifty year old the old yvonne would have ran off stage and gave up because I'm used to giving up.
Conclusion
I am really self conscious at times it is depending on what I am doing of course. But I love both of the pieces I done. children's theatre because it enables individuals to come out of their comfort zones;especially teenagers, we set ourself with boundaries because of what we see and hear. In contrast to this, the secondary school TIE enabled me to speak the truth that is the most important thing I wanted to do- to get that message across to those 14, 15 year olds. Like I said in my first evaluation I still find it hard to get into character; I need to adapt to new challanges much quicker than I do already. Why I don't know so don't ask but then again; it's kinda tricky to figure me out so I wouldn't suggest for you to do that. Some people "say they know me better than I know myself" I laugh or i'll just keep quiet because they don't the type of thoughts I have.
